J Balvin Unveils New Music Video For ‘Verde’ With Sky

There’s no stopping J Balvin during quarantine. On Saturday (April 18), the Colombian artist released the latest visual for “Verde,” which is off of his fifth solo studio album, Colores

The visual begins with Balvin and a young lady having a discourse at a pool party. He mentions that the director of the video, Colin Tilley, takes the singer’s phone and DMs girls from his account for his music videos. “Always needs models and uses my Instagram to send them the DM,” he says to the woman. She doesn’t believe his claims and asks for receipts, yet the reggaeton star claims a leprechaun stole his phone, so he can’t show her any evidence. 

After being struck by a rainbow and a pot of gold, J Balvin takes one of the coins, leading a leprechaun to shrink the musician in the midst of the gathering. As he embarks in nature and navigates the party as a shrunken person, Sky, who is featured on the track, is hanging out at the house party and having a jolly old time without him.

This is J Balvin’s sixth music video from his latest colored-focused project. Other visuals released include “Blanco,” “Rojo,” “Gris,” “Amarillo” and “Morado.”

J Balvin is one of the most influential reggaeton artists of this modern age, garnering a No. 1 record on the Billboard Hot 100 chart alongside Cardi B and Bad Bunny with “I Like It” and snagging another top 10 hit with “Mi Gente” with Willy William and Beyonce. The hit-single peaked at No. 3 on the same listing.

Other notable chart placements include three No. 1 albums on the Top Latin Albums, including Energia, Vibras and his collaboration record Oasis with Bad Bunny. He has five top 10 hits additionally with Colores and La Familia. Meanwhile, he scored an astonishing eight No. 1 hit singles on the Hot Latin Songs with “Mi Gente” with Willy William and Beyonce, “Ginza,” “X” with Nicky Jam, “Ay Vamos,” “La Cancion” with Bad Bunny, “China” with Anuel AA, Daddy Yankee, Karol G and Ozuna, “Bobo” and his collaboration with the Black Eyed Peas, “RITMO (Bad Boys for Life).”
