Finance ministry wraps up pre-Budget consultations – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The finance ministry has concluded pre-Budget consultations for the annual financial exercise with FM Nirmala Sitharaman and her team of secretaries meeting over 120 representatives from 10 sectors, including infrastructure, financial services, markets, agriculture, labour and the economy.
Several participants said that the discussions were detailed this time and gave ample time to participants to express their views, which were often critical of govt’s policies.”It was a very frank discussion with the officials and FM not interjecting but listening to the issues,” said a source, who attended one of the meetings.
