Amara Raja Infra commissions NTPC’s 90MW Anta solar PV project in Rajasthan – Times of India

HYDERABAD:Amara Raja Infra Private Limited (ARIPL), which is a part of the $2 billion Amara Raja Group, has commissioned NTPC’s 90MW/135MWp ground-mounted solar PV project at Anta in Baran district of Rajasthan.
Spread across 437 acres, the solar power project is set to generate 213 million units of green energy per annum and has been commissioned in the existing premises of NTPCs gas-fired thermal power station in Anta.
The project is touted as the country’s first balance of system (BoS) solar contract awarded by a central government public sector unit in 2021.
The just commissioned project is part of ARIPL’s existing solar PV portfolio of 2000MW and constructed transmission infrastructure for evacuation of over 7500MW of renewable energy through EHV sub-station and transmission lines in India.
Dwarakanadha Reddy B, business head (power EPC), ARIPL, said: “The successful commissioning of the project for NTPC is a testament to Amara Raja Infra’s technical expertise and project execution prowess. It will propel the renewable energy transition forward and reinforce our position as a prominent player in the clean energy space in India.”
NTPC Ltd is India’s largest integrated power utility, contributing one fourth of the country’s power requirement with a diverse portfolio of thermal, hydro, solar, and wind power plants.
