Bayley and Sasha Banks def. The IIconics and Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross—WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships

WWE spent so much time talking up a potential Bayley and Sasha Banks split, I was certain it was going to happen tonight.

The poor IIconics’ greatest career moment came in a Women’s Tag Team Championship match just like this, but in this particular match, they were an afterthought.

Sheamus def. Jeff Hardy

Michael Cole suspiciously asked “what if Jeff Hardy loses?” as if to suggest that he might relapse.

I’m just glad this match wasn’t a reenactment of Jeff Hardy’s ill-fated match against Sting at TNA Victory Road.

Corey Graves noted that Jeff Hardy intended to “Brogue Kick Jeff Hardy back off the wagon.”

This match felt like a win that Sheamus absolutely had to have.

Asuka vs. Nia Jax

Fans are going to be watching this match with a fine-tooth comb just to make sure Nia Jax doesn’t hurt the beloved Asuka.

At one point, during a Nia Jax cover, the referee took at least one second to get in position, potentially costing Jax a championship.
