Dallas Mavericks’ Orlando Scrimmage Games Schedule Released

The Dallas Mavericks now know who their opponents are for their three scheduled scrimmage games prior to the resumption of the NBA season. They will face the Los Angeles Lakers, Indiana Pacers and Philadelphia 76ers. The NBA released the full schedule of scrimmage games on Saturday.

Previous reports stated that scrimmage games would only take place between teams that were housed in the same hotel complexes on the grounds of the Walt Disney
DIS
World Resort, where the NBA is sequestering teams for its restart in the hope that it can mitigate the spread of COVID-19 among players and personnel. This appears to longer be the case.

Of Dallas’ three opponents, only Indiana and Philadelphia are staying in the same hotel—the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Los Angeles is staying in the Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.

Hotel accommodations were decided based on a team’s playoff seeding. The top teams are staying at the Gran Destino Tower. Middle tier teams are in the Grand Floridian. Last place playoff teams and those on the outside looking in are housed in Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

The Mavericks’ first scrimmage will be Thursday, July 23 and their last will be July 28. The NBA season resumes July 30. All games will take place on three courts withing the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on the Disney campus. Dallas is scheduled to arrive in Orlando July 8.

Here’s the Dallas’ complete scrimmage schedule:

  • Mavericks vs. Lakers – July 23 at 7:00 p.m. Eastern, Visa Center Arena
  • Pacers vs. Mavericks – July 26 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern, HP Field House
  • Mavericks vs. 76ers – July 28 at 8:30 p.m. Eastern, HP Field House
