AEW Dynamite pitted Proud and Powerful against Best Friends in a Parking Lot Brawl. Dynamite featured a Six-man tag team challenge as Jon Moxley is set to team with Will Hobbs and Darby Allin to take on Lance Archer, Brian Cage and Ricky Starks.

AEW also featured Thunder Rosa defending the NWA World Women’s Championship and an on-camera appearance from Tony Khan as The Young Bucks’ apparent heel turn continues.

FTR def. The Jurassic Express

The Young Bucks have the type of money to where if they’re frustrated they can take it out on their employees.

I swear Marko Stunt shrunk during the pandemic.

I don’t care how many people The Young Bucks super kick, it’s going to take more to convince me they’re heel.

The Young Bucks’ sour grapes tour featured the debut of Tony Khan on television, which despite what Tony Khan says, will eventually lead to him becoming a TV character.

FTR called a timeout and re-strategized the second Luchasaurus tagged in. That’s the type of attention to detail that could make FTR tag team hall of famers.

Hangman Adam Page vs. Frankie Kazarian

This match was starving for energy before a pescado dive from Hangman Page.

This match went on way too long but certainly gained steam toward the end.

Kenny Omega on commentary felt like somebody scrolling through their ex’s Facebook timeline.

MJF Appears Live; Eddie Kingston Appears Live

AEW used the WWE playbook by having an announcer announce a heel as the world champion.

Even if MJF and Wardlow’s split is unwarranted, AEW is taking its time with it an it will feel right when it happens. There was barely a hint of dissension throughout their segment.

Eddie Kingston is an engaging talker even when he’s making excuses.

Chris Jericho and Jake Hager vs. Private Party

I knew Private Party wasn’t going to win this match when they were called “kids” by both Chris Jericho and the announce team.

Matt Hardy was attacked backstage in what may or may not have been designed to write him off television as he recovers from his recent head injuries.

Isiah Kassidy sold the Judas Effect like he had gone paralyzed.

Chris Jericho potentially feuding with an up-and-comer like Marq Quinn sounds right up Jericho’s alley given the young talent he’s worked with in AEW.

Thunder Rosa def. Ivelisse—NWA World Women’s Championship

Thunder Rosa showing off her skill set is one thing, but if it takes this long to put away a non-ranked competitor in AEW’s women’s division, it isn’t the best advertisement of this title.

Jon Moxley Appears Live

I was so happy to see Will Hobbs crash this segment. The man looks like a super hero and AEW refuses to let its foot off the gas peal in creating new stars.

Lance Archer and Jake Roberts don’t feel like a main event act just yet but hopefully they’ll at least come close before Archer’s match against Moxley.

I sure hope AEW has “Will Power” trademarked.

Best Friends vs. Proud and Powerful—Parking Lot Brawl

It was refreshing to see this match wasn’t cinematic.

I fully expected Trent’s mom Sue to make an appearance in this main event, preferably behind one of the mini vans surrounding the talent.

This match felt like what Velveteen Dream and Adam Cole were going for at WWE NXT In Your House.

This match was so vicious considering it’s a feud over a soccer mom’s van. Based on its brutality I expected a whtie towel to come flying out of one of those minivans on behalf of Trent.

It’s refreshing to see that Orange Cassidy’s new fame hasn’t gone to his head and he’s still down to help his friends in a Parking Lot Brawl.
