Blackpink, Bon Jovi And Roger Waters Chart New Top 10 Albums Behind Queen And Adam Lambert’s No. 1

The powerful pairing of Queen and Adam Lambert rule over the albums chart in the U.K. this week with their live set Live Around The World, which debuts in first, giving the rock band their tenth champion and the pop/rock singer his first.

Queen and Adam Lambert command a top 10 in the U.K. that features eight titles that weren’t present inside the region last frame, with seven of those debuting somewhere between Nos. 1 and 10.

Coming in right behind Queen and Adam Lambert is Blackpink with their first full-length The Album. That project opens in the runner-up rung, shattering the record of the highest-charting release by a South Korean girl group. The title is the first top 10 for the band and the first placement inside the area for an all-female vocal act from the Asian territory.

So far, The Album has produced four charting hits on the singles ranking, with “How You Like That,” “Ice Cream” with Selena Gomez, “Lovesick Girls” and “Bet You Wanna” with Cardi B landing at Nos. 20, 39, 40 and 62, respectively, with the least two arriving just this frame.

Up from No. 41 all the way to No. 3 is (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? by rockers Oasis. The incredibly successful set (the Official Charts Company calls it the fifth-bestselling title of all time in the country) rebounds and returns to the top 10 thanks to a vinyl reissue celebrating the release’s twenty-fifth anniversary.

New at No. 4 is singer and actress Amanda Holden’s Songs From My Heart, which immediately places the rising talent inside the top 10 for the first very time.

Right behind that star comes Bon Jovi, another massive rock band, as they launch their appropriately-titled new album 2020 at No. 5 on the tally. The LP is the group’s sixteenth to place inside the top 10 across the pond, and it matches the same peak of their previous release.

Up next are two non-debuts, as Pop Smoke’s Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon falls from No. 2 to No. 6 while Lewis Capaldi’s Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent lifts from No. 9 to No. 7.

Former Spice Girl Melanie C is back inside the top 10 on the U.K. albums chart after a long hiatus away with her self-titled eighth release, which coincidentally takes off at No. 8. She has now appeared inside the uppermost field on the ranking with three solo ventures, and during her time in the Spice Girls, Melanie C landed four other top 10s.

Yet another rocker who has been killing it for decades, the beloved Roger Waters, also lands another big hit on the U.K. albums chart, as his new live set Us + Them launches at No. 9. That project is his third top 10 on his own, a sum which pales in comparison to the work he produced as a member of Pink Floyd, with whom he collected at least a dozen placements inside the important tier.

Closing out an extremely busy top 10 in the U.K. this week are hip-hop musicians 21 Savage and Metro Boomin, who debut their joint album Beast Mode II at No. 10. The second collaboration between the two marks the first top 10-charter for both acts.

No singles were released in advance of Beast Mode II’s arrival, but three cuts from the tracklist debut on this week’s chart (the most allowed per artist at one time, according to Official Chart Company rules). The highest-ranking of the new wins from the musicians is “Mr. Right Now,” which starts at No. 28 and which also features superstar Drake. Behind that tune come “Runnin” at No. 43 and “Rich N**** S***” with Young Thug at No. 54.
