Drake And Lil Uzi Vert Are The Only Musicians To Chart 20 Songs On The Hot 100 Twice

Lil Uzi Vert may not claim even one top 10 hit this week on the Hot 100, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t rule the chart like no other act this time around. The hip-hop musician’s name appears in more than 20 of the 100 spots on the most competitive songs chart in the U.S. this time around. That stands as one of the greatest showings on the tally at one time, and, amazingly, he has managed this feat twice, which is something only two acts in history can say they have done.

This week, the rapper charts 22 songs, while last week, he owned 20 positions on the same ranking. He managed his impressive display of popularity last frame thanks to the 18 songs featured on his album Eternal Atake, as well as two that feature him. Now, some of those 18 tunes have fallen off the list, but they are replaced by 14 even newer ones, as the chart-topper surprise-released a new mixtape (which is connected to his original album as a deluxe edition), and all the tunes featured on that setlist find their way to the Hot 100 immediately.

Lil Uzi Vert is now just the second musician in U.S. history to chart at least 20 songs on the Hot 100 in two different weeks. He follows Drake, who has done so more than twice.

Amazingly, Drake has controlled at least one-fifth of the Hot 100 five separate times throughout his career, something that no artist has come close to managing, and it may be quite some time before anybody approaches the Canadian superstar’s record. As he has rolled out various albums, he has seen his name appear in somewhere between 20 and 27 positions on the tally, with that latter number holding as the greatest showing ever.

Several of Drake’s five weeks with at least 20 songs present on the Hot 100 took place back-to-back, meaning he has now dominated at least 20% of the tally two weeks in a row twice. Lil Uzi Vert does so for the first time this frame, and it’s unlikely he earns a third week with as many smashes finding space on the list, though he may be able to do so again at some point in the future.
