Here Are All The Excellent Games Coming To Xbox Game Pass In October

Microsoft has revealed the first batch of video games arriving on Xbox Game Pass in October.

We usually find out about the service’s new titles in two waves: the first wave at the beginning of the month, the second midway through. So the following list is really only something like half the new Xbox Game Pass games for October.

Still, it’s an impressive—if not terribly long—list of new games, headlined by a Bethesda title, DOOM Eternal, from idSoftware. That’s a little preview of things to come thanks to Microsoft’s $7.5 billion acquisition of Bethesda parent company Zenimax.

Here’s what’s coming to Xbox Game Pass in the first half of October:

Week of September 28: 

• DOOM Eternal, October 1 (Android, Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)
• Drake Hollow, October 1 (Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

Week of October 5: 

• Brütal Legend, October 8 (Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)
• Forza Motorsport 7, October 8 (Android, Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)
• Ikenfell, October 8 (Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

You’ll notice that we can now list Android as one of several platforms supported by Xbox Game Pass. That’s thanks to xCloud, Microsoft’s game-streaming platform that’s now a part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription. It allows subscribers to play dozens of Xbox Game Pass titles on their Android phones and tablets. Simply connect an Xbox gamepad via Bluetooth and you’re off to the races.

Microsoft also announced the EA Play is coming to Xbox Game Pass recently, and today they’ve announced exactly when: November 10th, the same day as the Xbox Series X launches. This will add dozens of EA games to the Xbox Game Pass catalogue. Between EA and Bethesda—not to mention all of Microsoft’s first-party games and a good number of third-party titles—Xbox Game Pass is becoming a true powerhouse and a ridiculously good value.
