Here’s Every New Movie (Plus Trailers) Coming To Netflix This Weekend

As we’re halfway through the current month, people are undoubtedly looking forward to November when a wave of new movies will flood into Netflix’s
NFLX
library. But there’s still half of October left, which means several more movies have yet to make their debut on the world’s most popular streaming platform.

And this weekend is no exception. In total, six new movies will become available to stream over the next three days. Here’s every one of those films (plus trailers and plot summaries for each one).

The Trial of the Chicago 7

Plot summary: What was supposed to be a peaceful protest turned into a violent clash with the police. What followed was one fo the most notorious trials in history.

The Trial of the Chicago 7 stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Sacha Baron Cohen, Daniel Flaherty, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Keaton, Frank Langella, John Carroll Lynch, Eddie Redmayne, Noah Robbins, Mark Rylance, Alex Sharp and Jeremy Strong. The movie was directed by Aaron Sorkin.

The Trial of the Chicago 7 will become available to stream on Netflix on October 16.

In a Valley of Violence

Plot summary: After a quiet drifter is met with violence and bullying in a small town, he finds himself enmeshed in a vengeful struggle with the local marshal.

In a Valley of Violence stars Ethan Hawke, Taissa Farmiga, James Ransone, Karen Gillan and John Travolta. The movie was directed by Ti West.

In a Valley of Violence will become available to stream on Netflix on October 16.

ParaNorman

Plot summary: When an army of zombies invades a small town, it’s up to an odd local boy with a knack for communicating with the dead to save the day.

ParaNorman stars Kodi Smit-McPhee, Tucker Albrizzi, Anna Kendrick, Casey Affleck, Austin Dickey, Leslie Mann, Jeff Garlin, Elaine Stritch, Bernard Hill, Jodelle Ferland, Tempestt Bledsoe, Alex Borstein and John Goodman. The movie was directed by Sam Fell and Chris Butler.

ParaNorman will become available to stream on Netflix on October 18.

Disconnect

Plot summary: A group of singletons stumbles through the wild dating scene in Nairobi as two friends wonder if their relationship is more than platonic.

Disconnect stars Brenda Wairimu, Nick Mutuma, Catherine Kamau, Pascal Tokodi and Pierra Makena. The movie was directed by David “Tosh” Gitonga and Michael Jones.

Disconnect will become available to stream on Netflix on October 16.

Unfriended

Plot summary: Six teens whose cyberbullying drove their classmate to kill herself become the target of an online stalker with a lethal agenda.

Unfriended stars Shelley Hennig, Moses Storm, Renee Olstead, Will Peltz, Jacob Wysocki, Courtney Halverson and Heather Sossaman. The movie was directed by Leo Gabriadze.

Unfriended will become available to stream on Netflix on October 16.

I Am Vengeance: Retaliation

Plot summary: To clear his criminal record, an ex-special forces soldier agrees to lead a team to retrieve a double-crossing mercenary and deliver him to justice.

I Am Vengeance: Retaliation stars Wade Barrett, Vinnie Jones, Mark Griffin, Phoebe Robinson-Galvin, Sam Benjamin and Katrina Durden. The movie was directed by Ross Boyask.

I Am Vengeance: Retaliation will become available to stream on Netflix on October 17.
