Playwright Terrence McNally Dies From Coronavirus Complications

Topline: Award-winning playwright and librettist Terrence McNally has passed from complications related to coronavirus at 81 years old, according to reports; he is the first American celebrity to die from COVID-19.

  • He had previously survived a bout with lung cancer and lived with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
