SaaS company Zoho hits $1 billion in revenue – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Software-as-a-service (SaaS) firm Zoho has crossed $1 billion in global revenue with India numbers clocking the fastest growth of 77% in 2021, the company said on Tuesday. India now makes up almost 10% of the revenue of the SaaS firm that offers over 55 business applications unified in what it calls as a single ‘operating system for business.’
With research & development (R&D) expenses at almost three times the marketing costs, Chennai-based Zoho is also keen to set up its first R&D centre up north and it is scouting for suitable opportunities in eastern UP to tap the large youth population, the company officials said on the sidelines of its Zoholics conference in Delhi.
“Fundamentals matter now more than ever, and our industry has to learn to lower the friction of technology, so that technology becomes far more affordable,” Sridhar Vembu, co-founder and CEO, Zoho Corp, says, at a time when an uncertain macro environment slows down growth in tech sector.
