White House Communications Director Resigns As Reality Of Trump’s Loss Sets In

Topline

White House communications director Alyssa Farah resigned on Thursday, two senior administration officials told Forbes – a sign that even President Donald Trump’s top aides see the writing on the wall despite his continued attempts to contest the results of the election.

Key Facts

Farah made no mention of Trump in her resignation letter, which was first reported by the Washington Post, but said it was the “honor of a lifetime” to serve in the Trump administration for three and a half years – almost the entirety of Trump’s first term.

Farah, 31, served in three roles in the administration: first as Vice President Mike Pence’s press secretary, then as the youngest Pentagon press secretary in history beginning last September before shifting to the White House in April.
