WWE Money in the Bank 2020 Results: Sunday, May 10, 2020

The New Day def. John Morrison and The Miz, The Forgotten Sons, The Lucha House Party and Miz & Morrison

John Morrison has almost as many nicknames as bumps on his bump card, but “Johnny Drip Drip” is among the best.

This match had the tall task of following the tremendous efforts from all these individuals just two nights ago on Friday Night SmackDown. They came just short of succeeding as this was still a very good match.

I’d like to see a nice, long feud between John Morrison and either member of The Lucha House Party.

Bobby Lashley def. R-Truth

R-Truth might be the only person in wrestling funnier than Chris Jericho

R-Truth’s passive-aggressive, mid-sentence slap has to be

Bayley def. Tamina

Not enough is being made about Tamina’s excellent promo promoting this match.

Bayley and Sasha Banks’ ongoing strife is a study in WWE’s lack of subtlety, most recently when Michael Cole was sure to point out that Bayley wouldn’t let Sasha Banks get a word in edgewise.

WWE is working just as hard to promote Bayley vs. Michael Cole as they are to promote Bayley vs. Sasha Banks.

Braun Strowman def. Bray Wyatt—WWE Universal Championship

So, if WWE had an athletic competition, both Bray Wyatt and The Fiend would have licenses?

“Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed…” was a tremendous sell by Bray Wyatt.

Bray Wyatt moves exceptionally well considering not only his size but the fact that he now works in a sweater and skinny jeans.

The Bray Wyatt character truly believed Strowman had reverted back to his own ways, boy was that a hit to his status as a potential evil genius. Or any kind of genius.

Drew McIntyre def. Seth Rollins—WWE Championship

Samoa Joe said Drew McIntyre’s strategy is to talk less and Claymore. If that’s not on a t-shirt by the end of the week….

Seth Rollins’ new theme music is much more befitting of this character, but who expects him to be walking out to Presbyterian hymms this time next year?

I feel like there’s a friendly competition between Montez Ford and Seth Rollins as to whose frog splash can hit the Performance Center fan.

I’m guessing Seth Rollins shook Drew McIntyre’s hand hoping to turn babyface and not have to walk out to Presbyterian church hymms.

Otis and Asuka win Men’s and Women’s WWE Money in the Bank Match

WWE fired hundreds of staff to be able to afford to hang a briefcase full of cash in a conference room.

The more cameos I saw, the more I thought there might be a chance one of these clowns (literally) was going to actually try to win this briefcase.

The letter Vince McMahon was writing will forever be a mystery. I’d like to think it was an angry letter to Tony Khan.

Shayna Baszler didn’t even get time in the rooftop ring. Not a good sign.

Otis winning Money in the Bank is great and all but the fact that he did so in a comedic fluke makes me very nervous for his future.
