‘Don’t Get Sloppy’: ‘Vanderpump Villa’ Trailer Teases IRL ‘White Lotus’ Drama

Lisa Vanderpump didn’t come to play. Hulu has released the first trailer for the newest reality show from the Real Housewives alum, Vanderpump Villa, which teases a drama-filled 10 episodes from Vanderpump’s French estate Chateau Rosabelle.

“I have personally selected each of you from some of the best restaurants, bars, and kitchens,” Vanderpump says in the trailer, before walking the new employees through the rules in the first episode. The show is set to premiere in Spring 2024.

The trailer sees horse-driven carriages and beautiful men and women making beds and preparing drinks to the beat of Fergie’s “Glamorous” before Vanderpump appears onscreen in all her matriarch glory.

“I know you all know how to serve, but this is France. So let’s talk expectations… Why do you look so scared?” she asks one new employee, before adding, “You can do what you want behind the scenes, but when you’re around the guests, don’t get sloppy.”

It was previously unclear if Vanderpump would take on an on-camera role, but the trailer seems to show that the entrepreneur will help lead the ship during the “unscripted docu-drama.” (That’s the term Hulu is using to describe the reality show, as a press release teases a collision of “decadence and debauchery.”)

Among the villa staff are events coordinator Stephen Alsvig, executive chef Anthony Bar, mixologist Telly Hall, chateau manager Eric Funderwhite, and server Priscila Ferrari.

“From firework-filled proposals and opulent events at the chateau to unbelievable excursions and outrageous confrontations in the French countryside, each day at the Chateau brings nonstop heartfelt, humorous, and heated moments, from staff and guests alike,” teases a description of the show.

A casting call for the show looked for restaurant professionals, including head chefs, mixologists, housekeepers, fine dining servers, event managers, coordinators, and assistants. The casting call looked for those who could “navigate every extravagant desire of their well-to-do guests in the French countryside,” per Variety.

Vanderpump Villa is executive-produced by Vanderpump and produced by Bunim/Murray Productions, along with Entertainment 360.

Hulu announced the show back in June after Vanderpump Rules‘ season 10 ended with all-time-high ratings thanks to #Scandoval — the exposed affair between Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss. The reality series was renewed for an 11th season, with it set to air on Jan. 30. Sandoval and Ariana Madix are returning, but Leviss is not.
