Xiaomi India Launches ‘Mi Store on Wheels’ to Sell Smart TV’s, Smartphones, CCTV Cameras

Xiaomi has opened its own unique Mi Store in India. The company has launched its ‘Store on Wheels’ in India. Xiaomi says that through this, it can reach the “heart of India”, where the entire focus will be on villages and remote parts. Many offline retail stores are facing heavy losses due to the coronavirus pandemic. People are avoiding getting out of their homes, due to which there is a huge drop in the crowd at these stores. So under the new retail strategy, the company’s offline team can now take Xiaomi’s retail experience to the customers’ home.

Mi Store on Wheels was announced by Xiaomi’s Global Vice-President and Managing Director of Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar Jain on its twitter account. He has also shared many photographs of this moving retail store of Xiaomi. The Mi Store on Wheels is a van, designed like a food van along with a rear-facing store. Jain said that the project has been completed within 40 days. The aim is to make Xiaomi products accessible to customers in villages and non-metro cities. However, the company has not disclosed the list of cities or states where these stores will be deployed first. These offline mobile stores of the company will take feedback from customers besides selling.

With the introduction of Mi Store on Wheels, people in villages and remote areas will not have to go far away from home and buy Mi products. There will also be an option to take experience before purchasing the product. Mi Store on Wheels has been launched in Pilot Face from a remote area in Chhattisgarh. However, it will soon be launched in other states of India.

Products that can be purchased through Mi Store On Wheels include the recently launched 9 Series models Redmi, Redmi 9, Redmi 9 Prime, Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, and Redmi 9A. Apart from smartphones, Mi Store includes 32 inches and 43 inch Mi Smart TVs, Mi Box 4K, Mi TV Stick, Mi CCTV Cameras, Mi Sports Bluetooth Earphones, Mi True Wireless Earphones 2, Redmi Earbuds S, Mi Sunglasses, Mi Powerbanks, and Chargers.

Xiaomi’s Mi Store on Wheels will cover a fixed route. It will be stopped at such places, where the people of the village will gather for the weekly market or regular market. Feedback will also be taken from customers. Also, if a customer requests for a particular product, the store will take the product the next time it visits that place.
