• The series, about private zookeeper Joe Exotic, drew a larger audience than the second season of Netflix hit series Stranger Things.
• It has become a social media sensation since launching March 20, generating the most Twitter interactions of any television program on streaming or broadcast, according to Nielsen.
• That social buzz is what drove the series to success; before it made the rounds on Twitter and Instagram, Tiger King got a paltry 280,000 views in its first day, says Nielsen.
• Its momentum has not slowed; the series has been the most-watched program on the service for the past 16 days, the longest streak since Netflix debuted the top 10 feature in February.

What to watch for: More Joe Exotic. Investigation Discovery is planning a follow-up documentary with more salacious details about Exotics’ big cat enthusiast rival, Carole Baskin. Meanwhile, Rob Lowe and Ryan Murphy are looking at adapting the story. (Lowe makes a shockingly convincing Exotic).
