‘Parks And Recreation’ Special Scores On NBC

Five years after concluding, the cast of NBC comedy Parks and Recreation reunited for a new episode last Thursday, April 30. The half-hour, sponsored by State Farm and Subaru of America, has currently raised $2.8 million for Feeding America, the renowned hunger relief organization. Including in the tally, to-date, is $500,000 in matching donations from State Farm, Subaru of America, NBCUniversal and the producers/writers/cast of Parks and Recreation.

By the traditional Nielsen ratings, this new episode of Parks and Recreation, featuring Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Jim O’Heir, Retta and Ben Schwartz all reprising their roles from the original series, scored NBC’s the net’s top sitcom result in the Thursday 8:30 p.m. half-hour in total viewers since Oct. 26, 2017. It averaged 3.7 million total viewers and a 1.4 rating in adults 18-49 based on the Live+Same Day data (which excludes DVR usage) from 8:30-9:02 p.m. ET. Comparably, Parks and Recreation ranked first for the evening in adults 18-49 and adults 18-49.
