A&E’s Ozzy Osbourne Documentary Delves Into Singer’s Bizarre Alamo Visit

“Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne” is shaping up to be a must-see rockumentary for fans of the prince of darkness. Upon the previous sneak peak, in which highlighted the the creation of Ozzy’s trademark metal festival, Ozzfest, fans have been gearing up to see an untapped side of the late frontman’s life story. However, it seems impossible to have an Ozzy Osbourne documentary without touching on the singer’s notorious outlandish behavior.

In a new exclusive clip, A&E gives a teaser into how Ozzy’s visit to the Alamo got him arrested and banned from Sant Antonio, Texas.

Contrasting to the previous teaser clip, this new sneak peak showcases more of Ozzy giving direct commentary to the story at hand; the first seemed to use footage from a past and more dated interview with Ozzy. Although Sharon is giving the more detailed commentary, it’s nice to finally see Ozzy showing up in what looks like a more recent interview.

Additionally, A&E is boasting a fairly stacked set of guest interviews for the upcoming documentary, to which includes Rick Rubin, Ice-T, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Jonathan Davis, Post Malone, and more. It’s a wide variety of friends and fellow musicians, spanning across several generations, who no doubt will be interesting to hear from. If anything, how does a modern rockstar’s experiences and stories, i.e. Post Malone’s, compare to that of a different generation’s, like Marilyn Manson’s?

Overall, Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne continues to glimmer as an unrivaled documentary centered on metal music’s most legendary icon. In terms of sheer quality, the hard rock and metal community likely hasn’t seen a documentary of this scale since 2011’s Lemmy. Until its Monday night premiere (9 pm ET), it remains to be seen if Nine Lives will stack up with other likeminded and revered rockumentaries.
