AEW Dynamite returned to its normal Wednesday time slot for its AEW All Out go-home show. Chris Jericho took on Joey Janela and The Young Bucks won an eight-man tag team match alongside The Jurassic Express. The increasingly heelish Young Bucks and The Jurassic Express will face one another at AEW All Out as a result.
The main event saw Jon Moxley take on MJF’s lawyer Mark Sterling.
Last week’s unopposed Thursday broadcast of AEW Dynamite garnered 813,000 viewers.

Proud and Powerful def. Best Friends
It took 11 minutes for Excalibur to say “he’s done the deal” for the first time, and boy it felt good to have him back.
As much as NFL coaching great Bill Parcells despises this term, Proud and Powerful are a great example of a team that is better than its record.
The Young Bucks and The Jurassic Express def. SCU and Private Party
This match had a unique stipulation where the winning team would face each other at AEW All Out. The Young Bucks spent much of the early goings of this match only tagging themselves in before eventually tagging in Jungle Boy. The Young Bucks refusing to tag in their partners/potential opponents should have been the story of the entire match to create tension between these two teams leading into AEW All Out.
The limited fans in attendance were really happy to see Luchasaurus, who was easily the most popular person/dinosaur in this match.
Jim Ross had high praise for Nick Jackson, whom he referred to as the most athletic and complete professional wrestler in the company. Jim Ross doesn’t say those type of things about just anybody.
The Young Bucks are just as likely to turn heel as Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page, that’s one of the many things I love about this feud.
Kenny Omega Appears Live
Kenny Omega’s profanities, directed toward FTR, were censored so you know they had to be bad on the show where they’re permitted to use the s-word once an hour.
FTR and Tully Blanchard cut a promo before this segment and I don’t think I’ve ever seen three people more in sync for one promo.
Curse word update—Both Hangman Adam Page and Dax Harwood used the s-word in the same hour.
By design, Hangman Adam Page’s eyes look like he had been crying profusely.
Chris Jericho def. Joey Janela
Chris Jericho during his entrance is the biggest babyface in wrestling.
Jericho wore an Orange Cassidy t-shirt to get into his head, but Cassidy did not seem to mind. If Jericho really wanted to mess with Orange Cassidy, he would have worn a t-shirt of himself as Orange Cassidy.
THere’s a fine line between being laid back and being cold, as demonstrated by Orange Cassidy staying in his seat as Joey Janela was beaten to a bloody pulp. In fact, Cassidy didn’t hit the ring until Chris Jericho got blood on his merch.
Taz, Brian Cage and Ricky Starks Appear Live
When I saw Matt Hardy with cue cards of his own, AEW couldn’t come back from picture-in-picture soon enough.
Nobody dresses like a heel more effortlessly than Ricky Starks.
This segment was just a showcase of the promo abilities of Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Taz and Eddie Kingston, who appeared to stumble toward the end.
The Battle Royal that ensued from this segment just went on and on, which is much more realistic than all these adrenaline-filled wrestlers dispersing because the referees told them to.
Thunder Rosa def. Serena Deeb
Crowd noise was down to empty-arena levels for much of this otherwise well-wrestled match.
This match seemed to be really picking up just as AEW went to commercial.
This was more women’s wrestling in this match than there was in all of August.
Britt Baker Attacks Big Swole
Big Swole needs to be given more promo time immediately. She was hilarious here.
This was just a vintage heat segment and everybody played their parts fantastically.
Dr. Britt Banker will take on Britt Baker in what is being described as a Tooth and Nail match.
Jon Moxley def. Mark Sterling
Mark Sterling’s gear in this match needs to be seen to be believed.
They really got over Page 17 of that contract on this show.
Mark Sterling’s thumb to the eye was more offense than I thought he’d get.
