Orange Cassidy def. Will Hobbs

This match played off Orange Cassidy’s quick win over Will Hobbs last year on AEW Dark, except this time Hobbs countered the superman punch with a spinebuster for a nearfall.

Based on the average skin tone of top stars in AEW, the fact that it only took one match to eliminate all of the Black AEW stars was the most predictable outcome.

FTR Attacks Penta El Zero M

Rey Fenix was not part of this segment due to an injury. Hopefully this is either a worked injury or a short-term injury because they’re finally starting to do something with Fenix.

Penta El Zero M was outsmarted by the heels after thinking a pair of masked fans were FTR, only to get attacked by FTR.

Britt Baker def. Anna Jay

This match wasn’t perfect, by any means, but it was mostly entertaining. If you grade on a curve for Anna Jay, as many do, this was one of her best matches but I don’t think it was her best.

Tay Conti made the save for Anna Jay, only to hold up the AEW Women’s World Championship. I’m not sure if she’s a good friend or an opportunistic one.

PAC def. Andrade El Idolo

Mark Henry was absent from the pre-main event interview and it almost ruined this entire match for me.

Andrade got to showcase the full spectrum of his innovative offense throughout this match and it was awesome.

Aubrey Edwards spent half of this match trying to get these men back in the ring.

PAC vs. Andrade El Idolo received a lot of hype from those who were in attendance, and boy did it live past the hype.
