Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber And 6ix9ine Debut New Singles Inside The U.K. Top 10

Rappers DaBaby and Roddy Ricch push their collaborative smash “Rockstar” to No. 1 in the U.K. this week, lifting from No. 6 to the top in one swing. The tune, featured on the former’s new album Blame It on Baby, is the first champion for both artists, who are relatively new to landing big wins on the charts across the pond.

Last week’s leader, Drake’s “Toosie Slide,” steps back to the runner-up rung, allowing another hip-hop tune to rule. As he falls slightly, so too does Doja Cat’s “Say So,” which surged to No. 2 last frame thanks to a new remix featuring Nicki Minaj that has become a global blockbuster.

The highest-charting new track this frame comes from the powerful pairing of Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. The two pop icons collaborated on the cut “Stuck with U,” which serves as something of a pandemic anthem and the first taste of an album of one-off songs from some of the biggest names in the business with all the proceeds going toward those who have been affected by coronavirus.

“Stuck with U” is Bieber’s twentieth top 10 and Grande’s sixteenth in the U.K.

Grande and Bieber kick Powfu and Beabadoobee’s “Death Bed” to fifth place after rising to No. 4 last time around.

New at No. 6 is “Gooba,” the comeback single from hip-hop musician 6ix9ine. The track, his first new release since moving from prison to his home (where he remains confined), is his second top 10 in the country. A tune featured on his 2018 album Dummy Boy, “Kika” with Tory Lanez, opened at No. 9. “Gooba,” now the musician’s highest-charting track, is expected to serve as the lead single from his upcoming project, possibly due this summer.

Closing out the uppermost arena on the U.K. songs tally are The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” (No. 7), S1mba and DTG’s “Rover” (No. 8), Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” (No. 9) and AJ Tracey and Mostack’s “Dinner Guest” (No. 10).
