Beauty Entrepreneur Maria Hatzistefanis Of Rodial Shares Her Isolation Essentials

She’s known on the beauty scene as Mrs R, meet London-based entrepreneur Maria Hatzistefanis.

She founded her skincare group in 1999 which includes the three firms: Rodial, Nip + Fab and Nip + Man. Hugely poplar, these labels are sold through 20,000 doors across 35 countries worldwide.

And she’s shared her success story via her book, How To Be An Overnight Success to give us all some inspiration (some lockdown reading). It looks at Maria’s journey to date with insights on brand building as well as the hurdles and the fun she has encountered along the way.

With all this beauty insider knowledge, Maria shares her Rodial beauty essentials for isolation (and beyond).

BANANA LOWLIGHTER: When you have no access to beauty treatments and you still need to do your IG stories, this is my number 1 beauty hack to look fresh & well rested! I apply a dab under my eyes, corners of the nose and mouth and lights up any areas with shadows. Most days I just use a moisturiser and the Banana Lowligher and that’s all you need for a perfect complexion!

DRAGONS BLOOD JELLY PATCHES: I live in these! These are hydrating & plumping patches for under the eyes, they deeply hydrate and reduce dark circles. Working from home allows me to wear them on important business calls! I love them.

SNAKE SERUM DROPS: We launched these during the current lockdown, another reason why this product is so iconic! We have remastered the original Snake Serum, the product that really put Rodial on the map. The Snake Serum Drops are fully vegan, and work to freeze fine lines and blur the skin. They are so good, I use them every morning & night and I can really see the results instantly.

DRAGONS BLOOD SCULPTING GEL: I, like everyone else, am finding that my skin is really dry due to the lack of time we can be outdoors. I use the Dragons Blood Sculpting Gel first thing in the morning, it’s like an espresso shot for the skin. It’s packed full of Hyaluronic Acid, tightens the skin and it helps to sculpt the facial contours. It’s a Rodial best seller and the product I can always depend on! 

PINK DIAMOND CLEANSING BALM: As my skin is dry, I have to use a balm cleanser to inject moisture whilst cleansing. The Pink Diamond Cleansing balm actually makes me excited to cleanse! It’s a gorgeous oil based balm which melts away makeup. It contains Diamond Powder so my skin is always luminous after. 

VIT C EYE SOUFFLE: I’m not sleeping that well at the moment, so I am finding that I wake up with dark circles. I use the VIT C Eye Souffle as its incredibly brightening, and hydrating. I can really see how the product helps to brighten my eyes and makes me look more fresh and awake. 

BRONZE GLOW DROPS: Another product we have launched during lockdown! I love these drops as they are basically a liquid bronzer that you drop into your day cream for a golden glow. These are perfect for me right now as I am not doing my makeup every day, so these drops warm up my skin and make me feel more ‘together’ when I leave my house for exercise or essentials.

CBD SLEEP DROPS: I use these drops every night, they really work to relax my skin. I have rosacea and the CBD Drops work to reduce redness, they really calm my skin down. The scent is amazing, it helps me to mentally switch off.

PINK DIAMOND LIP & EYE FILLER: Like my skin, my lips are dry too. I use the Pink Diamond Lip & Eye Filler as it contains Hyaluronic Filling Spheres which hydrate and plump the lips. Plus the formula contains Diamond Powder so it leaves a beautiful gloss on the lips.

SKIN LIFT FOUNDATION: I am not doing full makeup every day, but when I do I like to use the Skin Lift Foundation in shade Cheesecake. This foundation is very buildable and dewy, so its super easy to apply. I use it as a concealer too, I love products that multi-task.
