‘Black Panther’ Star Chadwick Boseman Dies At 43

Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman died Friday after a four-year battle with colon cancer, his family said.

Boseman was diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer in 2016 and battled the disease for four years as it progressed to Stage IV.

He died in his home with his wife and children by his side, a statement from his family says.

Boseman had not spoken publicly about his diagnosis, according to the Associated Press.

Boseman starred as Marvel’s first Black superhero in the 2018 blockbuster Black Panther.

He died on Jackie Robinson Day, which is celebrated annually by the MLB, years after portraying the baseball legend opposite Harrison Ford in the 2013 film 42.
