BTS Already Has Another Mobile Game, And It’s Coming Very Soon

It’s only been just over a year since BTS last launched a mobile game, and already they are gearing up to give fans more of what they want…and apparently this time around, their next offering will be a very different experience.

Just a day or so ago, Netmarble, the company tasked with creating this latest BTS mobile game, revealed the existence of another program during a virtual conference. The game is slated to be called BTS Universe Story, and thankfully fans won’t have to wait very long until they’re able to play.

According to the company’s representatives, the game should be made available to the public at some point in the third quarter of 2020, which would mean it could drop at any moment. The third quarter wraps at the end of September, so chances are it’s coming in just the next few weeks.

A number of gaming outlets have reported that based on a teaser video and some images that have been released, BTS Universe Story will be a very different game from BTS World, the program the South Korean septet launched last year. The previews suggest that this new project will fit under the “sandbox” genre, meaning players will be able to take part in important missions, though they’ll have the freedom to do so when they want, in whatever order they want, and they can explore the world created by Netmarble’s designers in addition to focusing solely on the tasks laid out.

If BTS is already gearing up to release another mobile game just over a year after their last one, that likely means that BTS World was a huge success, perhaps both in terms of player numbers and revenue earned. Seeing as this new venture is dramatically different from the previous launch, the band, as well as their teams at Big Hit Entertainment and Netmarble, are likely looking to reach a new audience, in order to bring in as many fans of the group as possible and to keep them playing.
