BTS Occupies The Top Four Spots On ITunes With Different Versions Of Their New Single ‘Dynamite’

Since it was released last Friday (August 21), BTS’s new single “Dynamite” has held as the bestselling song in the U.S. on iTunes, one of the most popular platforms on which American purchase individual tunes and albums. Throughout the years, the group has shown they can sell a cut like very few in the industry, but this latest launch is special, as fans are buying several different versions of the track…and they’re all performing very, very well.

At last look (at about 12:45 PM EST on Tuesday, August 25), BTS occupies the top four spots on the American iTunes charts with four different takes on “Dynamite,” with each managing to outsell some of the biggest hits on the Billboard charts by major players in the business.

Steady at No. 1 is the original version of “Dynamite,” which fans simply will not stop buying. Down at No. 4 is the instrumental of that cut, which was released at the same time this past Friday. The two were paired together as something of a double single.

In between those songs are two new versions of “Dynamite” which were both released yesterday. The acoustic recording of the catchy pop tune lands at No. 2 on the U.S. iTunes chart, and it is quickly followed by the EDM remix, which is comfortable at No. 3.

It’s very rare for any act to occupy more than one spot inside the top 10 on the iTunes ranking when not promoting a new album full of material fans can’t wait to buy. BTS fans are so eager to hear everything their favorite group has produced, and to help “Dynamite” climb as high as possible on the Hot 100 next week, they’re rushing to purchase all four editions of the new single, and they’ve all become bestsellers.

As if owning the Nos. 1 through 4 spots on the list wasn’t impressive enough, two older BTS cuts are also present inside the top 10 at the moment, which is notable considering they already debuted as bestsellers months ago. Down at No. 6 is “Black Swan,” the promotional single from their album Map of the Soul: 7 that preceded the set. One rung below that tune comes “On,” the official first single from that chart-topping title.

At the moment, the only names that aren’t BTS that find themselves inside the top 10 on the U.S. iTunes chart are Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion (“WAP,” No. 5), Harry Styles (“Watermelon Sugar,” No. 8), The Weeknd (“Blinding Lights,” No. 9) and Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo (“Savage Love [Laxed – Siren Beat],” No. 10).
