Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day 2020 With Dropkick Murphys’ Live Stream Concert

For the first time in twenty-four years, Dropkick Murphys’ St. Patrick’s Day weekend show was cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The annually sold out concert has become a staple for the band’s fanbase and St. Patty’s Day thrill seekers. Year after year, Dropkick Murphys draw attendees from across the globe and New England territory, all in an effort to party and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in true Celtic rock fashion.

This year however, the band has taken the necessary steps to alter the event, stating “We hope you and your families are doing well during this trying time. For the first time in 24 years, we are not playing on St. Patrick’s Day weekend. The current world situation is the ONLY thing that would ever stop us from doing so. So we came up with an idea we’re going to pull off this Tuesday – the night of St. Patrick’s Day.”

In an effort to combat the spread of the virus, Dropkick Murphys chose to cancel their live and in person performance, but all in favor for an even more assessable and timely show; a globally live streamed St. Patrick’s Day concert.

Today at 7pm ET, Dropkick Murphys will be live from their home turf of Boston, Massachusetts performing their one of a kind St. Patty’s day spectacle. While it’s truly a strenuous time for festivities and cheer, the Dropkick Murphys’ live stream poses a safe and appropriate format to celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, especially for those looking to distance from public gatherings.
