David Crosby Calls For Pro-Biden Benefit Featuring Bruce Springsteen, CSNY, The Eagles, Jackson Browne

David Crosby is calling for a benefit supporting Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden that would feature Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Crosby Stills, Nash & Young, The Eagles, Jackson Browne and other artists.

Crosby, 78, floated the idea during a series of Tweets on Sunday. There was no immediate response from any of the artists he mentioned, and no evidence that the concert was being planned.

Still, there are nearly five months before the election.

As for Springsteen, he campaigned for Barack Obama but has not yet endorsed Biden as of yet. In 2016 Biden endorsed Springsteen for President.

“The middle class would have the best chance with Springsteen,” Biden said. “He understands issues facing working Americans.”

Crosby again apologized via Twitter to Young for his comments about Young’s wife, actress Daryl Hannah, that caused a split between the former bandmates.

In 2014, Crosby called Hannah a “purely poisonous predator.”

Eight months later, he apologized on The Howard Stern Show, but the damage was done and Young indicated they would never play together again.

“We were together for a long time,” Young said on the Stern show, per Rolling Stone. “We did some good work. Why should we get together and celebrate how great we were? What difference does it make? It’s not for the audience. It’s not for money, either. When you play music, you have to come from a certain place to do it and everything has to be clear and you don’t want to disturb that. I like to keep the love there, and if the love isn’t there, you don’t want to do it.”

Still, in February Young wrote on his Website that “anything is possible” when it comes to a CSNY reunion.

Crosby apologized again to Young and Hannah on Sunday.

Crosby said CSNY should be out performing Young’s “Let’s Impeach the President” every night to condemn Donald Trump while supporting Biden. Young originally wrote the song about George W. Bush in the wake of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
