They’re warming up.

The ring walks have begun.

Both fighters are in the ring.

Jimmy Lennon Jr is done with the announcements. It’s time to fight!

ROUND ONE

Spence starts the round moving forward, working behind his jab. Both fighters working on measuring their distance. Showing patience. Halfway through the round, both look comfortable and relaxed. Very close round, the pace picks up toward the last 30 seconds, but Spence takes it behind the jab effective and body punches, landing more punches.

Spence 10-9 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND TWO

Spence starts the round coming forward, working behind the jab. Garcia still throwing a jab more as a range finder. Spence is cutting off the ring. Garcia seems willing to settle for looking for the counter shots. Spence lands a nice straight left hand halfway through the round. Spence showing good defense too.

Spence 20-18 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND THREE

Very close round. Both fighters are picking their shots and landing to the body. Spence with a big shot halfway through the round. Spence really working behind a stiff jab. Garcia still pawing with the jab. Very close rounds, however, the power shots in this round went to Spence. Very close, but I feel Spence is edging the close rounds.

Spence 30-27 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND FOUR

Spence picking it up in this round and really applying pressure. Spence is controlling the action in this round with his jab. Spence using that jab and starting to put other punches behind it. Lands a nice uppercut just under a minute to go. Garcia picks up the action in the last 30 seconds of the round, trying to steal the round. Round still goes to Spence.

Spence 40-36 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND FIVE

Spence lands a hard left hand a minute into the round. Still coming forward. Spence looks to be closing the distance and looking to work inside. Garcia looking to counter. Much more even round with a minute left. Garcia trying to find a spark, but Spence just looks to be landing the heavier shots. Spence’s round.

Spence 50-45 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND SIX

Both fighters closing the distance in this round. Very good round. Garcia’s eye is telling the story of Spence’s jab thus far. Spence landing thudding punches to the body and letting two and three punches go at a time. Garcia very competitive and holding his ground, but Spence is just getting the better of the exchanges and still jabbing to Garcia’s body. Garcia lands a nice straight right, but Spence doing just enough to edge out the round.

Spence 60-54 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND SEVEN

Very good round for both fighters. Relentless action from both Spence and Garcia. Spence committing to the body and Garcia throwing more punches. A clash of heads with 45 seconds left in the round. Garcia ends the round strong and looks to have done enough to edge this round.

Spence 69-64(Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND EIGHT

Garcia coming forward looking to land big shots. Spence defense is strong. Spence really committed to the body and continuing to land. Spence looking to close the distance. Garcia looks frustrated. Spence is being relentless pinning Garcia against the ropes and landing body shots. Garcia putting up a strong effort, but Spence just looks too relaxed and in control. Round goes to Spence.

Spence 79-73 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND NINE

Spence comes out strong. Moving forward, working the jab and applying pressure. Garcia still pawing with the jab, looking to set up a big right hand. Garcia lands a straight right hand just over a minute into the round, but Spence is applying constant pressure. Garcia landing shots one at a time and still coming forward. Spence seemed to take off the second half of the round. I think some of the cleaner shots were landed y Garcia in this round and could have been enough to steal this round. I’m going to give Garcia this round.

Spence 88-83 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND TEN

Garcia moving forward this round with Spence going backwards. Spence looks to be taking this round off so far. Garcia having a good round with a minute left in the round. Big right hand landed for Garcia with just under a minute. Garcia having a good round. Spence still going to the body. Garcia won this round more so due to Spence’s inactivity.

Spence 97-93 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND ELEVEN

Spence starts the round strong, coming forward. Garcia still very game after winning the last two rounds on my scorecard. Garcia using angles and trying to sneak that big right hand through and finally tries to land a big left hook. Very close round. Hard to score, but Garcia looks to have to done enough to edge it.

Spence 106-103 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND TWELVE

Spence applying the pressure. Still landing to the body. Garcia not landing in this round. Spence working behind the jab, working up and down. First two minutes of this round in Spence’s favor. Garcia not letting his hands go. Spence out landing Garcia in this round and finishing strong. Garcia finally tries to let his hands go, but too late. Spence wins the round and the fight.

Spence 116-112 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

My unofficial scorecard has Errol Spence Jr winning 116-112.

Let’s see what the judges say.

Tim Cheatham 117-111

Barry Lindenman 116-112
