Former WWE Star Marty Jannetty Apparently Claims To Have ‘Made A Man Disappear,’ Police To Reportedly Investigate

Ex-WWE Superstar Marty Jannetty became a trending topic today after a since-deleted Facebook post, appearing to confess a murder, went viral.

The troubled journeyman wrestler—whose legacy will always be tied to the contrasting career paths of him and Hall of Fame former “Rockers” tag team partner Shawn Michaels—posted the following on Facebook on Wednesday:

“I was 13, working at Victory Lanes bowling alley buying weed from a [expletive] that worked there … and he put his hands on me … he dragged me around the back of the building … you already know what he was gonna try to do,” said Jannetty in a chilling account based on a screenshot of the viral post from TMZ.

“That was the very first time I made a man disappear. They never found him. They shoulda looked in the Chattahoochie River.”

The Columbus Police Dept. in Georgia is now investigating the matter, telling TMZ “We are going to look into this.”

In fact, a spokesperson from the homicide/cold case division noted “The first step will be seeing if we have any missing persons or unidentified remains cases that match the limited information in the post.”

The Columbus Investigative Services Department has not responded to a request for comment. This article will be updated if and when it does.

The former tag team legend has a history of troubling (NSFW) posts on social media. Jannetty himself has speculated possible brain trauma related to CTE, and he even joined a class-action lawsuit against WWE alleging traumatic brain injury:

“About CTE, the attorneys that got me, they did [a lawsuit] against the NFL and they won,” said Jannetty during an interview with Wrestling Inc.

“There is no bigger thing than the NFL and they won on the CTE thing which is if you get so many traumas, you become crazy. I started out [crazy] so I didn’t need no damn concussions [laughs].”

“With wrestling, it’s considered entertainment which gets Vince out of so much stuff. But we do get slammed on the floor and our heads bounced on the floor. There have been so many times when I get up and didn’t remember how a finished the match, and I wasn’t even drinking.”

Now trending worldwide, Twitter and the wrestling world continue to weigh in on what has become quite possibly the most bizarre Marty Jannetty story to date. Marty Jannetty has not responded to a request for comment. This article will be updated if and when he does.
