‘Fortnite’ Season 3 Gnome Locations: Where To Find 3 Gnomes In Homely Hills

At long last, Fortnite’s new season has begun. The summer-themed ‘Splash Down’ Chapter 2, Season 3 is all about water.

Whatever was preventing the flood during this Monday’s huge live event has broken, and the Season 3 map has flooded, leaving an archipelago of islands in the flood’s wake.

There’s a new Battle Pass with a bunch of new skins and other cosmetic goodies; a completely transformed map; and new challenges—one of which is the subject of this post.

In the first week of Chapter 2, Season 3 players are tasked with finding three Gnomes in Homely Hills—one of the few Landmarks that survived the flood. Homely Hills is located in the northern section of the Season 3 map, near Lockie’s Lighthouse.

As you can see, the map is very much changed for Season 3. Interestingly enough, in an email Epic Games sent out to journalists and content creators, the developer writes “Watch for what lies beneath as the water level recedes.”

This suggests that while the map has flooded, it will slowly drain as the season progresses. Get ready for a more eventful season than the last couple as the water recedes and new mysteries are unveiled.

In any case, once you land at Homely Hills there are a number of Gnomes to find. There are definitely more than three, but I haven’t found each and every one of them yet. Here’s a map with four of the locations I can vouch for:

There are five houses in Homely Hills and Gnomes can be found in at least three of them. I’ve marked each one in the map above. There’s also a gnome next to a tree outside of the southern-most house. That house’s House Gnome (we’ll call him Dobbie) is actually out back by the grill.

I’m sure there are more than these four in Homely Hills, but I’ll have to glide back into the location to find out, and will update this post as I do. For now, these four Gnome locations are more than enough to finish this challenge and earn 35,000 XP to level up your Season 3 Battle Pass.

Oh, and for you Khal Drogo fans out there, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman is the “secret” skin for Season 3. Much like Deadpool, the Marvel X Epic collaboration is strong this season.
