Future Scores Top Placement On The Hot 100 Songwriters Chart

Future’s songwriting skills are finally getting some credit. The trap MC scored a No. 1 placement on Billboard’s Hot 100 Songwriters Chart for the listing’s date of Saturday, March 30. The admirable accolade is thanks to his eighth studio album, High Off Life, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart for the date of Friday, March 29.

The rapper gets credit for 13 songs total from the set, which all have placements on the Hot 100, including “Life is Good” featuring Drake, which peaked at No. 6, “Solitaires” featuring Travis Scott, which hit No. 32, “Trillionaire” featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again, which placed at No. 34, “Trapped in the Sun” and “All Bad” featuring Lil Uzi Vert, which garnered the No. 54 spot.

Though he wrote and produced many of the tracks with other producers, he has three solo credits to his name with the following songs: “Trapped in the Sun,” One of My” and “Posted With Demons.”

Future’s remaining songwriting credits, which also appear on the Hot 100, are as follows: “Hard to Choose One” at No. 68, “Ridin Strikers” at No. 69, “HiTek” Tek” at No. 71, “Too Comfortable” at No. 75, “Posted With Demons” at No. 79, “Touch the Sky” at No. 81, “One of My” at No. 82 and “Harlem Shake” featuring Young Thug at No. 84.

This is the first time Future has garnered the top placement on the Songwriters chart.

High Off Life is the seventh album to top the Billboard 200 albums chart, and the project also makes it his 13th top 10 Hit record on the same chart. DS2, What a Time To Be Alive with Drake, EVOL, and Future Hndrxx Presents: The WIZRD are some of his other projects that have topped the Billboard 200.

Though Future has a No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 and three top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, the rapper has never had a No. 1 hit song on the singles chart. His recent song “Life Is Good” featuring Drake was the closest tune to top the chart, but it only peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100.

While it’s difficult to fathom that Future doesn’t have a No. 1 song under his belt, there’s no denying that he can’t score one in the future with other releases, seeing that his fan base is so loyal and committed to his music.
