Harry Styles And Jason Derulo Score New Top 10 Hits In The U.K. As Drake’s Latest Disappears

For the sixth nonconsecutive week, DaBaby and Roddy Ricch continue to control the U.K. singles chart with their blockbuster release “Rockstar,” which has become a massive hit all around the world. The tune didn’t face any real competition for the top spot, and with a new video out now, it could continue to perform well for several frames to come, perhaps even becoming the longest-running champion of 2020 in the country.

Looking only at the top 10, two tracks jump into the region for the first time, with one newcomer landing his first proper hit in the U.K.

Steady at No. 2 is “Rain on Me,” the former leader by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande. The cut, which debuted in first place a month ago, has been stuck behind “Rockstar” ever since it stepped back from the highest rung.

Up to a new peak of No. 3 is “Breaking Me,” the breakout single by Topic and A7S. The track quickly worked its way up the ranking, and while its ascent has slowed, it is still going strong, and it could possibly compete for the top two spots in the near future.

The highest-ranking new entrant inside this week’s top 10 comes from the unlikely team of Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo, whose joint single “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)” vaults from No. 22, where it landed last time around, to No. 4. The cut is the first top 10 for 685 and the fourteenth for Derulo, who was last inside the uppermost tier three years ago.

Both S1mba and DTG’s “Rover” and AJ Tracey and Mostack’s “Dinner Guest” descend slightly, landing at Nos. 5 and 6, respectively.

The second and only other new smash that finds its way into the top 10 this week comes from Harry Styles, who is on quite the winning streak in his home country. The singer-songwriter’s current focus, “Watermelon Sugar,” lifts from No. 11 to No. 7, becoming his third top 10 from his latest album Fine Line. The musician has now appeared between Nos. 1 and 10 four times on his own and on 18 occasions including his work with One Direction.

Wrapping up the highest tier on the tally this frame are Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” (No. 8), 220 Kid and Gracey’s “Don’t Need Love” (No. 9) and Regard & Raye’s “Secrets” (No. 10).

Looking just below the highest region on the singles chart, two cuts fall outside the top 10, with Stormzy, Tion Wayne and Dutchavelli’s “I Dunno” dipping to No. 11 from No. 9 while Drake’s “Toosie Slide” slips from No. 7 all the way to No. 12.
