How To Have Your Next Movie Made By Ron Howard And Brian Grazer —And Land On Netflix

It’s not often that someone without a long resume of success can get Ron Howard and Brian Grazer to make their film for Netflix

, but that’s precisely what they’re planning to do. But screenwriters will need to act fast.

Howard and Grazer’s Imagine Impact, an affiliate to their production house Imagine Entertainment, are planning to buy four screenplays from up-and-coming screenwriters over the next year, the company said in a statement. They’ll then develop those films and make them for Netflix.

While they didn’t say what all four screenplays should center on, they did say that they’re first seeking a major action-adventure movie with a “well-thought out idea and writing sample.” They want it by July 6, however, so act fast.

In a statement, Imagine Impact called Netflix “the most innovative content creation and distribution company of the last decade” and said the companies will work together to “generate more original, quality IP to meet the growing demand.”

Imagine Impact was originally developed in 2018 to help screenwriters have their works discovered and developed. A total of 65 applicants have been admitted into the Imagine Impact accelerator program from 14,000 submissions, the company said in a statement.
