How To Watch Or Live Stream UFC on ESPN+ 29: Smith Vs. Teixeira

Former UFC light heavyweight title challengers Anthony Smith and Glover Teixeira meet in the headlining bout of tonight’s UFC on ESPN+ 29 fight card. Smith, who comes in as the No. 3-ranked 205-pounder according to the official UFC light heavyweight rankings, is coming off a fourth-round submission win over three-time UFC title challenger Alexander Gustafsson.

Teixeira, who checks in as the No. 8 ranked fighter in the light heavyweight division, has won his past three outings. Teixeira’s most recent victory was a September triumph over Nikita Krylov. 

In the co-main event, Ben Rothwell faces Ovince Saint Preux in a heavyweight scrap.

Rothwell ended a three-fight losing skid in his most recent outing. In that December 2019 bout, Rothwell scored a second-round knockout win over Stefan Struve. Before his win over Struve, Rothwell had not scored a knockout win since he stopped Alistair Overeem in September 2014. 

Saint Preux, who is a former UFC light heavyweight title holder, ended a two-fight losing skid in September when he earned a second-round submission win over Michal Oleksiejczuk. Saint Preux is 5-3 in his past eight outings. Each of his victories in those contests has come by stoppage. Saint Preux earned fight-night bonus awards in four of those five bouts.

Also on the main card, Alexander Hernandez, who is the No. 15 ranked lightweight, looks to climb the 155-pound rankings with a win over veteran competitor Drew Dober. Dober has won his past two scraps via first-round knockout. Hernandez won his most recent fight via decision.
