How To Watch Or Live Stream UFC On ESPN 9

Tonight, the UFC completes its stint of three fight cards in one week in Jacksonville, Florida with UFC on ESPN 9. The headlining bout features a matchup between two top-10 ranked UFC heavyweight fighters.

The main event pits the No. 8 ranked Alistair Overeem against the No. 9 ranked Walt Harris. This fight was scheduled to take place in December, but a family tragedy forced Harris from that event.

Harris’ stepdaughter, Aniah Blanchard went missing in late October. Blanchard’s body was found a month later in Macon County, Alabama. Blanchard, 19, was abducted outside a convenience store. Her cause of death, according to AL.com, was a gunshot wound to the head. Ibraheem Yazeed, 29, was initially charged with first-degree kidnapping. A capital murder charge was later added against Yazeed.

In the co-main event, former strawweight title challenger Claudia Gadelha attempts to put together her first winning streak since she won two fights in a row in 2016-17. Gadelha, who is ranked No. 6 in the 115-pound weight division, faces the unranked Angela Hill, who is on a three-fight winning streak. Hill has not won four fights in a row since she went 4-0 with Invicta in 2016. Hill won and defended that promotion’s strawweight title during that run. UFC on ESPN 9 marks Hill’s third fight of 2020.

UFC on ESPN 9 also marks Edson Barboza’s first foray into the featherweight division. Barboza, who is ranked No. 11 in the lightweight division, is 1-4 in his past five fights at 155 pounds. He faces Dan Ige in Jacksonville. Ige is on a five-fight winning streak. He is ranked No. 15 in the 145-pound weight class.
