Minnesota, South Dakota, Virginia and Wyoming all began their early in-person voting periods Friday.

According to CNN, hundreds of voters lined up in Fairfax, Virginia before polls even opened to make sure they would be able to cast their vote, a sight elections officials said they’d never seen before.

Early in-person voting sites took extra precautions amidst the coronavirus pandemic to protect voters like requiring masks, providing hand sanitizer, enforcing social distancing, setting up plastic dividers and disinfecting voting booths between each ballot cast.
