IndiGo Sharjah Lucknow flight: Medical emergency on board, IndiGo flight lands in Karachi | India Business News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: An IndiGo Sharjah-Lucknow flight on Tuesday had to be diverted to Karachi due to a medical emergency on board. The passenger, who had taken ill, passed away.
In a statement, IndiGo said its flight 6E 1412 from Sharjah to Lucknow “was diverted to Karachi due to a medical emergency. Unfortunately, the passenger could not be revived and was declared dead on arrival by the airport medical team. We are deeply saddened with the news and our prayers and wishes are with his family.”
The Airbus A320 had taken off from Sharjah at 1.59 am for Lucknow. Flight tracking websites show it landed in Karachi at 4.52 am after a passenger took ill.
However, the passenger could not be saved. The aircraft took off from Karachi at 8.34 am for Lucknow. (all timings local)
