Migos, Marshmello And Others To Perform For Triller’s Upcoming Digital Music Festival

Triller announced it’s hosting a three-day digital music festival called “Co-Trilla Quarantine Sessions,” inspired by the postponement of Coachella. In response to COVID-19, the social video app wants to play a role in helping flatten the curve via social distancing. Over a hundred performers are going to join including Migos, Marshmello, Kash Doll, Amara La Negra, Bebe Rexha and still many more.

Actor, comedian and impressionist Jay Pharoah will be hosting the sessions throughout the entire weekend. From April 10 to April 12, the virtual festival will be live online from the late afternoon to the early morning (Pacific Time). Listeners can tune in via Triller’s YouTube channel.

“[COVID-19] has had a significant impact around the world, and we want to do our part to help those in need, while providing a safe environment for people to escape and enjoy some great entertainment,” Mike Lu, CEO of Triller, said.

In addition to previous artists mentioned, the lineup also includes Pitbull, Omarion, Polo G, Snoop Dogg, Trina, Koffee, G Herbo and still many more artists from different genres. They will be live streaming from their homes across the world. Most will perform sets of about 30 minutes, according to Ryan Kavanaugh, the founder of Proxima Media which manages Triller.

Beyond trying to help flatten the curve, Triller is using its Quarantine Sessions to raise money for No Kid Hungry and for MusiCares, the Recording Academy’s affiliated non-profit. Currently, the foundation is focused on financially supporting artists who have lost income due to gigs or performances cancelled while honoring COVID-19 precautionary measures.

“We just want to do our part,” Kavanaugh said. “People are all home, scared, disconnected. Music can serve as a way for people to connect, have a shared experience, recognize they aren’t alone and raise money to help those in need.”

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect people everywhere, countless events have been cancelled in accordance with public health guidelines for safety. Of these countless events cancelled are countless festivals cancelled. Some artists have used social media to share live performances while companies have hosted digital music experiences. Triller is joining the effort to keep people engaged with the music and the artists they love.
