Miley Cyrus And Pop Smoke Hit The U.K.’s Top 5 As Three New Tracks Reach The Top 10

The U.K. singles chart has a new champion this week, as Internet Money, Gunna, NAV and Don Toliver’s “Lemonade” vaults from No. 3 to No. 1, capturing the highest rung by what was reportedly a very small margin (according to the Official Charts Company). The tune is the first ruler for all four artists, and it is one of quite a few popular tracks that climb on the latest edition of the tally.

Steady at No. 2 on the latest ranking is “Ain’t It Different” by Headie One, Stormzy and AJ Tracey. Seeing as how the tune only lost out on becoming a chart-topper by a few sales, there is still a good chance it could wind up at No. 1 in the next frame or two.

Up to a new peak of No. 3 is newcomer Tate McRae’s “You Broke Me First,” which is the first top 10 for the rising talent.

Right behind that climbing release comes another, as Pop Smoke’s “What You Know Bout Love” steps up from No. 7 to No. 4. The cut is the latest smash from the late rapper, who accrued nearly all of his biggest wins on charts all around the world after his death earlier this year. The song gives the hip-hop musician his second top five hit in the U.K.

Miley Cyrus also lands another top five blockbuster this week, as her recent release “Midnight Sky” pushes just one spot to No. 5. The title appears to be the first single from her forthcoming album Plastic Hearts, which was just properly announced and which is coming in about a month.

Behind Cyrus comes the first of three songs that break into the top 10 this week. Wes Nelson, known primarily as a TV star until now, witnesses his first big single “See Nobody,” a collaboration with Hardy Caprio, improve its standing considerably. This frame, it pushes from No. 15 to No. 6, giving both acts their debut top 10 smash.

As his new single “Lonely” with Benny Blanco opens inside the top 20, Justin Bieber’s previous cut “Holy,” which features Chance the Rapper, gains ground and reaches a new high. The tune, which could very well preview another full-length from the star that might arrive soon, is up to No. 7 this frame.

New to the top 10 this week is Clean Bandit, Mabel and 24kGoldn’s “Tick Tock,” which lifts from No. 12 to No. 8. The single is the tenth top 10 for Bandit, the sixth for Mabel and the second for 24kGoldn, whose only other win to find itself inside the highest tier on the U.K. singles chart isn’t too far away.

Last week’s ruler, 24kGoldn and Iann Dior’s “Mood,” falls considerably on the chart across the pond, as it dips from No. 1 to No. 9 in one noticeable dip.

Rounding out the top 10 is yet another cut that’s new to the arena, as Sigala and James Arthur’s “Lasting Lover” surges from No. 13 to No. 10. The popular release is the eighth placement inside the field for the producer and the seventh for Arthur, who provides vocals.
