Pop Smoke And Quavo “Shake The Room” In New Video During Paris Fashion Week

Pop Smoke and Quavo’s “Shake the Room” arrived on Saturday, March 28th. Directed and filmed by OFF-WHITE founder and Louis Vuitton artistic director Virgil Abloh, the visual follows the two hip-hip figures as they embark on adventures during Paris Fashion Week.

The visual launches with a luxurious red Ferrari Pista and a special message: “This video is real life footage. This is barely a ‘video shoot.’”

The duo wine and dine together while partying with other restaurant-goers and taking over the kitchen for one festive night out. Then, they take the Ferrari out for a spin, hyping each other up and having a blast in City of Light.

The final minute of the video concludes with a special tribute to Pop Smoke, “In loving memory Pop Smoke forever.”

Abloh also took to Instagram to commemorate the late rapper posting, “Pop Smoke’s impact will live on thru the art he left us. In this case, it was the night after the Louis show while we had the cameras rolling outside and outside a typical French restaurant in my neighborhood.”

The music video comes a month after the death of Pop Smoke, who was shot and killed at 20 during a home invasion in Hollywood Hills on Wednesday, February 19th.

“Shake the Room” is off of Pop Smoke’s latest mixtape, Meet the Woo 2, which dropped weeks before his tragic death. While Pop Smoke was in the midst of rising to fame, he had prominent placements on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Dior,” which peaked at No. 30, and “GATTI,” which peaked at No. 69 alongside JACKBOYS and Travis Scott.

“Dior” initially debuted at No. 49 on the Hot 100, claiming his first Hot 100 hit as the sole billed artist. “Shake the Room” peaked on the same listing at No. 93 for the week of March 6th.

His Meet the Woo 2 scored a No. 7 placement on the Billboard 200 albums chart, leading him to garner his first top 10 hit for a full-length project. The record scored an even better spot on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart at No. 5.
