Pregnant Kelly Rowland Reveals Details Of Her Cabo Babymoon

Kelly Rowland recently took to Instagram to share a video of her baby bump six months into her pregnancy. But the 39-year-old also revealed she was on a babymoon with her husband Tim Weatherspoon and 5-year-old son Titan. And this comes after the former Destiny’s Child member joked that her pregnancy resulted from being bored during quarantine. Of course, that’s not all the star has been up to. She also recently teamed up with Oral-B to inspire people across the country to improve their brushing game and created a social video with Eva Longoria, Mario Lopez, Manny MUA, and Dr. Dorfman. 

I was able to catch up with Rowland as part of the partnership to learn the personal reason it’s so important and get all the details on that luxurious babymoon. 

Q: Can you start by telling me a little bit about the partnership with Oral B and why you decided to be a part of it? 

A: My mom grew up telling me about how important oral hygiene is, and we couldn’t afford to go to the dentist when I was a kid. So, I didn’t go to the dentist, and I was about 16 years old, and then I got braces. I love that Oral B committed to a total of like a million dollars and donated dental care products to high-risk individuals through Dental Lifeline Network. Plus, Oral B has genuinely been in my household, and they just launched an electric toothbrush – the Oral-B iO. After using it, my teeth feel so clean – it’s like I just left the dentist’s office!

Q: Besides dental hygiene, what else is part of your self-care routine, especially now that you’re pregnant?

A: I’ll have my facialist Shani Darden walk me through a facial. I’ve also really gotten into baths. I find them so relaxing.

Q: I also heard that this toothbrush comes with a travel case. What are some of your other travel essentials?

A: We actually just got back from Cabo, and we had the most amazing time there. I bring my whole kit with me as far as all facial products. My carry on bag has my computer, my headphones, and water. Also, perfume and deodorant because I like to feel refreshed. And I have a good moisturizer for my skin. My masseuse Lori Bregman just made this beautiful body butter that smells so good and coats my stomach as well. It’s something she just made, and I hope she makes it into a product to sell. 

Q: That trip to Cabo was your babymoon, right? Tell me a little bit about the trip. 

A: Yes, we went to a new space in a Cabo called Costa Palmas. It was so relaxing. We went with a really close friend and had a good time. We ate everything. I forgot how good the food was in Cabo. There was this like Baja eggs benedict that I got every morning and this French toast. But I forgot that I couldn’t have a good margarita. But I don’t think I care. So, that was no fun! It was just like this little bubble of space.

Q: Besides eating, did you do anything special for your babymoon? 

A: Me, my husband and [son] Titan took pictures. We drew our names in the sand, and we took pictures for the new baby. We were also able to do this really cool thing where they released turtles. So, we made a wish and were able to release them. It was so beautiful. We were able to take Titan fishing and caught mahi-mahi. He loves fishing. That was really it. We just really beached it out. We love being on the beach and being by the pool and just being together. It was awesome. 

Q: What are your tips for traveling with children?

A: I like to give him that good old trusty iPad to save the day. Whether we were traveling to Australia or traveling to Africa, cause I’ve taken him to these places, he has to have his iPad and a good book. He likes to feel grown in his seat. So, he likes to ask for all of his things from the flight attendant. Like “May I have apple juice?” He pretty much knows what to do on his own. I don’t have to say anything. It’s just so crazy!
