Rihanna, Dua Lipa And Megan Thee Stallion: 5 Major Moves On This Week’s U.K. Singles Chart

After what feels like a lifetime away from the charts, Rihanna is back with a new single, and though she only sings a few words on the cut, it still debuts rather high thanks to her involvement.

Another powerful pop singer, Dua Lipa, also makes her presence known with not one, not two, but three top 10 singles all at once. That type of dominance is rarely seen, and it’s a sign that the musician isn’t just a flash in the pan, but perhaps a true star.

Here’s a look at five of the most important moves on this week’s U.K. singles chart.

No. 6 – Dua Lipa – “Break My Heart”

As her new album Future Nostalgia debuts at No. 2 behind 5 Seconds of Summer’s Calm, Dua Lipa earns another top 10 hit with her latest single…and owns more real estate inside the region than anybody has in a while. The pop singer’s latest release “Break My Heart” opens at No. 6, coming in behind “Physical” at No. 3 and “Don’t Start Now” at No. 4.

No. 12 – PartyNextDoor – “Believe It (ft. Rihanna)”

Canadian musician PartyNextDoor is enjoying the best week of his career in the U.K. as he scores his first top 10 album with Partymobile and his highest-charting single yet. Thanks in large part to the fact that his new cut “Believe It” features Rihanna, who has been absent from the charts for some time now, the tune opens at No. 12. That’s a new peak for PartyNextDoor, but it’s not the only win for him this frame. Fellow album track “Trauma” lands at No. 99 this time around.

No. 18 – Skepta, Chip & Young Adz – “Waze”

The powerful trio of Skepta, Chip (formerly called Chipmunk) and Young Adz (known for his work with the group D-Block Europe) surprised fans with a full collection, which starts at No, 3 this frame as a trio of tunes from the set also find their way to the singles chart. Up first is “Waze,” which launches at No. 18, and it is followed by “Mains” at No. 32 and “Demons” at No. 47.

No. 28 – Megan Thee Stallion – “Savage”

After debuting outside the top 40 last week, Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” rises into the important region, jumping to No. 28. In doing so, the track, featured on the rapper’s new Suga EP, has become just her second top 40 and her highest-charting cut yet in the U.K.

No. 54 – NAV – “Turks (ft. Gunna & Travis Scott)”

As he preps his next album (which doesn’t yet have a name or release date), Canadian hip-hop musician Nav lands just his second charting hit in the U.K. with “Turks.” Helping him reach No. 54, a new high point in the country, are featured acts Gunna and Travis Scott, who also add to their career totals. Of the bunch, Scott is the most successful, as he has now landed on the tally at least 20 times.
