Ruth Bader Ginsburg Discharged From Hospital After Treatment For Gallbladder Condition

TOPLINE

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday following nonsurgical treatment for a gallbladder condition, a court spokeswoman said.

KEY FACTS

Ginsburg was hospitalized Tuesday after suffering from a gallstone that had migrated to her cystic duct, blocking it and causing an infection.

The justice underwent nonsurgical treatment for the benign gallbladder condition.

Ginsburg still participated in oral arguments from the hospital on Wednesday for two cases, one involving robocalls and the other involving access to contraception under the Affordable Care Act.

Over the next few weeks, Ginsburg will attend follow-up appointments at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland to remove the gallstone non-surgically.
