The Big Takeaways From The Disney Investor Day You Should Care About

Streaming, theme parks, movie studios and more were all discussed at the four hour meeting for The Walt Disney Company’s
DIS
Investor Day. The event focused heavily on Disney’s direct-to-consumer streaming services, which includes Disney+. Disney’s popular streaming app has accrued more than 88 million subscribers as of December 2, 2020.

The Disney theme parks took a major blow in 2020, with a $6.9 billion negative impact this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA, has been shuttered since March, though Disney has reopened an extended version of The Downtown Disney District inside Disney California Adventure.
