The Weeknd Returns To The U.K. Top 10 While DaBaby And Roddy Ricch Rule The Singles Chart Again

Once again, rappers DaBaby and Roddy Ricch control the U.K. singles chart with their global smash “Rockstar,” which has proved to be a sustained hit in the country. The track has now led the charge on the tally for four nonconsecutive turns, with only Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s No. 1 debut “Rain on Me” breaking its stride a short time ago.

No new tunes enter the top 10 on the U.K. singles chart this week, though one very popular hit does return to the region after recently departing.

Steady at Nos. 2 and 3, where they landed last week, are the aforementioned “Rain on Me” by Gaga and Grande and S1mba and Rover’s “DTG,” respectively. 

Up to a new peak position of No. 4 is “Breaking Me,” the first proper hit from dance and electronic musicians Topic and A7S. The cut only recently entered the top 10 in the U.K., and it is wasting no time making a play for the highest rung. 

The next two tracks rise from where they placed last frame, with Powfu and Beabadoobee’s “Death Bed” lifting to No. 5 while AJ Tracey and Mostack’s “Dinner Guest” steps up to No. 6, which now stands as its peak. 

Drake’s “Toosie Slide” dips from fourth place to seventh, while Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” improves slightly, growing from No. 8 to No. 10. Behind that cut, which benefits from a new remix featuring Beyoncé (though she isn’t credited, according to Official Charts Company rules), comes Tion Wayne, Dutchavelli and Stormzy’s “I Dunno” at No. 9.

Closing out the top tier this time around is The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” which advances from No. 11 to No. 10. The blockbuster release, which is by far the most popular single from the R&B powerhouse’s new album After Hours, spent eight nonconsecutive turns at the top of the songs list (across three stretches) earlier this year.
