This Stimulus Check Calculator Tells You How Much Money You Get

“How much is my stimulus check going to be?”

Here’s what you need to know.

Stimulus Checks

The IRS already has sent millions of stimulus checks. How much will your stimulus check be? That’s a popular question searched on Google and asked on social media. If your adjusted gross income is lower than these numbers, you can qualify for the maximum stimulus check:

  • Single Filer: $75,000
  • Head of Household: $112,500
  • Married/Joint Filer: $150,000

If your adjusted gross income is less than these numbers, your stimulus check amount will be:

  • Individuals: $1,200
  • Married Couples: $2,400
  • Dependent Children: $500 (must be 16-years-old or younger)

Your stimulus check amount phases out (gets reduced) by $5 for every $100 of incremental adjusted gross income above the income levels mentioned above. So, how much money will your stimulus check be? This stimulus check calculator will help estimate how much you and your family will receive.

When Will My Stimulus Check Arrive?

The golden question. At least 80 million Americans should have their stimulus check by this week. The best way to verify your stimulus check is through the Get My Payment online portal on the IRS website at irs.gov. The Get My Payment tool will provide you information about your payment status, payment type and whether the IRS needs your banking information to send you a check through direct deposit. If you receive Social Security, disability, survivor, veteran’s or Railroad Retirement benefits, then your information will not be accessible through the Get My Payment portal.

Payment Status Not Available

If this error message looks familiar, you’re not alone. If you entered your information into the Get My Payment tool and received this message, there could be several reasons. The two most popular reasons are:

  • Your information hasn’t been processed yet (this includes processing of your 2018 or 2019 tax return, benefits information or Non-Filer status information)
  • You don’t qualify for a stimulus check

The IRS updates the Get My Payment portal once per day overnight. You can check back daily for an update.
