Twitter slapped a “public interest” notice on a tweet from President Trump warning protesters in Washington, D.C. that they will be met with “serious force” if they establish an autonomous zone — similar to the zone established in Seattle — near the White House, stating the tweet violated company guidelines about “abusive behavior,” in what is the latest in a string of Trump tweets to be flagged by the social media company in recent weeks.

In a statement on Twitter, the company said it placed a warning label on the tweet because it violates its policy prohibiting abusive behavior — “specifically, the presence of a threat of harm against an identifiable group.”
“There will never be an ‘Autonomous Zone’ in Washington, D.C., as long as I’m your President,” Trump tweeted Tuesday, adding if they try to establish a zone they will be met with “serious force!”
