UFC 250 Full Fight Video: Watch Felicia Spencer Knock Out Zarah Fairn

Felicia Spencer captured the Invicta FC featherweight title in November 2018 with a fourth-round submission win over Pam Sorenson in November 2018. Not long after that Spencer, like the two other women who held that title — Cris Cyborg and Megan Anderson — Spencer got the call to join the UFC roster.

In her UFC debut, Spencer defeated Anderson via first-round submission. That victory earned her a fight against Cyborg. Spencer entered her matchup opposite the former UFC champion with a 7-0 record. She left the arena that night with the first blemish on her record, but she did go the full three rounds with the hard-hitting Cyborg and never backed down. Spencer might have lost to Cyborg, but the way she performed let everyone know Spencer belonged in the UFC.

In her next outing, Spencer faced off against Zarah Fairn in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 169 in February 2020. Spencer was the biggest favorite on the card as a -850 favorite. Fairn was a +550 underdog. 

Spencer gave up a few inches in height, but that didn’t stop her from going for a head kick early in the contest. Fairn controlled the center of the octagon and forced Spencer back to the cage. With 3:50 left in the first round, Spencer forced her opponent to the cage and slowed things down. Fairn avoided Spencer’s first takedown attempt, but she could not stop the follow up attempt. Spencer then easily worked to full mount, which allowed Spencer to open up with ground strikes including some heavy elbows. Fairn could not defend herself and the referee brought the fight to an end before the end of the first stanza.

On Saturday, Spencer faces UFC women’s featherweight champion Amanda Nunes in the main event of the UFC 250 pay-per-view card.
