UFC On ESPN+ 35 Full Fight Video: Watch Angela Hill Knock Out Hannah Cifers

Angela Hill was looking for her first two fight winning streak in the UFC when she faced Hannah Cifers at UFC on ESPN+ 24. In her previous fight, Hill defeated Ariane Carnelossi by TKO in the third round. Heading into the January 2020 matchup opposite Cifers, Hill, a former Invicta FC champ, had gone 4-5 with the UFC.

Hill was not ranked at the time of her matchup opposite Cifers, but she was a -200 favorite over Cifers, who was a +170 underdog. Cifers was also unranked, but she was fighting in front of a hometown crowd.

Hill used a lot of speed and movement early on, which served her well against the more brawling style of her opponent. Hill was also smart to use her reach to move in and out of range quickly.

The second round was more of the same in the early going as Hill kept Cifers fighting off her back foot. Then with less than two minutes off the clock in the second stanza, Hill used a foot sweep to take the fight to the mat. From there, Hill looked to work to mount, which she did. Once in mount, Hill landed punches and strikes to the head of Cifers. With 35 seconds left in the round and Cifers bleeding, the referee waved off the fight, giving Hill her first winning streak as a UFC fighter.

Hill made it three in a row in February when she defeated Loma Lookboonmee by decision.

Hill’s winning streak ended in May when Claudia Gadelha beat Hill via split decision.

Hill looks to get back in the win column tonight when she faces Michelle Waterson in the main event of tonight’s UFC on ESPN+ 35, which airs on ESPN+.
